Rating: - It's just okay
This game relies heavily on a few keys on the keyboard. Unfortunately, the keys don't always make sense and the gameplay doesn't make sense. For a game geared at 4-6 year old girls, it seems counterintuitive to use only keys and not the mouse. My daughter reaches for the mouse every time, and has difficulty with some of the scenarios becuase there is little to no documentation, or instruction in what the player is trying to look for or do at any given time. Yes the graphics are good, but being ... Read More
Rating: - Challenging for first "real" computer game
My 5 year old daugther has played PBS and Nick jr games a lot. When she was 4 we got her this game. I agree with the other reviewers that it is a great special effects game and was suitably wowed by the set up. I feel the need to add that the biggest downside is that there is not a lot of guidance as to what to do. "Go to the Grove" is all that she hears from Snow White and she has to run around to different parts of the game to try and figure out where the grove is and then how to open the gate. ... Read More
Rating: - Not Good for 3-Year Olds
This game does not use the mouse. You have to use the keyboard for everything from moving to making magic. My 3-year old loves the idea of this game, but has difficulting pressing all the different keys. Would be a much better game if she could use the mouse.
Rating: - Worth every penny! When does the sequel come out?!!
My daughter is 4 years old and mom usually works next to her while she plays her games. I love the "I Spy" series and "Bookworm Adventures" but I had no idea how much fun we could have together, until we introduced the "Enchanted Journey" game. This game is head and shoulders above the typical child video game. If your daughter is a Disney princess fan, she is going to LOVE this game. (she will be able to design the dress, crown, earrings, etc of her in game princess avatar).
The imagery is ... Read More
Rating: - Exceeds Expectations
My daughter is 5 years old and I am an avid computer gamer father. I have purchased far more than 50 games for her, and many of them were not worth the money I paid. So I have low expectations for children's games.
I would set the age for this game at 4+. If you have a 4-6 year old that hasn't played video games before, they will need about 15 minutes of "training" before you can let them play alone without frustration. If your child has played PC games before, they should only need ... Read More
