Rating: - Norton has been very, very good to me
I wrote a very witty review that you would have, I'm sure, enjoyed immensely, but Amazon.com lost it in transit to the next page.
I said something about it not handling spyware and having to dial down the firewall protection to make the start-up work faster.
That was about it, except I remember saying the latter was probably my computer's problem for not having enough RAM or ROM or GIGS or whatever. I suppose you can tell that technology is rapidly passing me by.

I gave this a one star rating because there is NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. After 2 hours on hold with the 800 toll free line and my NORTON 360 STILL, after 1 HOUR and 25 MINUTES, STILL trying to connect to THEIR interactive on line customer support center, I am giving up. Oh, and I have high speed DSL and a new computer running Vista, so my compter is NOT the problem.
I will eventually get this software running, but next year, I WILL NOT RENEW. I will look for another product.

At the begining I was hesitant to get this product, but now that I have it installed, is very useful and it gets my pc protected.
Rating: - Stay clear!!!
For some unexplained reason important add-ons such as parental controls & anti-spam have to be installed via a seperate download after the main install. This has failed on 2 out 3 computers.
Watch out for renewal - these guys are highway robbers - they charged my card $75 while the the online price is $60 without my request or approval 3 weeks before the subscription expired. Called them & as expected it was a waste of time. Now I will dispute it with my CC company.

Wow. I installed Norton 360 about a month ago. I work off of Windows XP Home edition. I have had nothing but issues from the start.
At first, the installation of Norton and compatibility issues with ServicePack MS installation did something to my registry and completely wiped out my wireless internet connection. Norton's support was of absolutely no help - it was only after speaking with a very kind MS support person that they were able to fix my corrupt registry and get me back on track. ... Read More
